Salt air is harder on paint than rain
West Seattle sits on water on three sides. Cars parked within a few blocks of Alki, Beach Drive, or Lincoln Park collect airborne salt that settles into the clear coat and holds moisture against it. Through a full winter that shows up as dulling, water spotting, and early oxidation, and it always starts on the horizontal panels: hood, roof, trunk lid.
Add the Fauntleroy ferry lanes, road film off the West Seattle Bridge, and the tree canopy through Admiral and Genesee dropping sap all summer, and this is a genuinely tougher environment than most of the city.

Good to know before you book
Do you charge extra to come to West Seattle?
No. West Seattle is inside our standard zone, so there is no travel fee. The price you see online is the price you pay.
Do I need to provide water or power?
No. Every rig carries its own water tank and generator. All you do is park the car and hand over the keys.
Can you detail on the street in Alki or the Junction?
Yes. We need roughly a car length of clearance on one side to work. Mention street parking in your booking notes and we plan the approach.
What if it rains on my appointment day?
This is Seattle, so we work through normal drizzle and carry a canopy. If conditions would actually affect the result we contact you early and reschedule at no cost.
My car is parked near the water and looks dull. Is that fixable?
Usually yes. Salt and mineral deposits bond to the clear coat and dull it, and a decontamination wash plus machine polish removes most of it. Heavier oxidation needs paint correction, which we can quote from photos.
How long does a detail take?
Wash & Wax is about 1 to 2 hours. Deep Interior is 2 to 3. Full Detail is typically 3 to 4 hours. The Showroom is a full day.
